Kid Friendly Cafe – Sydney
NORTH
Eat n Chill Naremburn – This cafe features locally sourced brunch and salad options and features a kid-friendly garden out the back with cubby house and play equipment. It’s open for breakfast and lunch, seven days a week and caters for all dietary needs, from paleo, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, wheat free and dairy free. There’s also a menu for under 12s. 272/274 Willoughby Rd, Naremburn.
Babyccino Lindfield – This cafe has an impressive all-day breakfast and lunch menu that is sure to make you drool while the kids will have loads of fun in their dedicated children’s play areas. 317 Pacific Hwy, Lindfield.
Rashays Top Ryde – Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner while the kids have a ball in the Little Rascals play area at Rashays, Top Ryde. Open from 8am-11pm daily, there’s something for everyone. Top Ryde City Shopping Centre Level 1, Devlin Street &, Blaxland Rd,Top Ryde.
Fig & Co Kenthurst – This cafe has a large outdoor area that is dog-friendly and also includes fun play equipment for the kids, including a cubby house. They have an extensive food menu with beautifully presented meals and the venue also hosts parties. 1A Annangrove Rd, Kenthurst.
SOUTH
Cook at Kurnell – Located on Silver Beach, this café has a Mediterranean vibe with expansive outdoor dining just footsteps from the sand. There’s also a sandy kids play area and a kid-friendly menu, which includes dishes such as battered fish, cheeseburgers, and nuggets. The café is also dog-friendly. This café is mostly outdoors so it’s perfect on a warm, dry day. 306-308 Prince Charles Parade, Kurnell.
Ben & Annie’s Gymea Bay – A charming cafe with a large, turfed outdoor dining area and a kid’s cubby house that is completely fenced in. Families can enjoy a relaxed meal while the little ones play in a safe and secure environment. The cafe offers a tasty kid’s menu that includes seasonal fruit salad, chicken nuggets, cheese toasties, mini hot dogs, and more. 108 Coonong Rd, Gymea Bay.
Bites by the Bay – Located within Cronulla RSL, this is a great spot for families looking to enjoy a meal together, any time of day. The Bay features a play area to keep little ones entertained, with games, comfy chairs, and iPads. There’s an extensive menu offering everything from classic pub fare to contemporary dishes. The club also hosts school holiday activities and more. 38 Gerrale St, Cronulla.
7th Heaven Cafe Kirrawee – This cafe is known for it insta-worthy food, but it’s also in a great location. Enjoy a cuppa while the kids play in South Village’s indoor play area, or pop out to the adjacent park and let them have a go on the flying fox. There are multiple cafes around too, so you can always do a coffee-hop. South Village shopping centre, 580 Princes Hwy, Kirrawee.
The Hive Cafe Miranda – This cafe is a great place for mum’s groups to get together. They have a great menu, atmosphere and a small play area for the kids. 8 Bellingara Rd, Miranda.
One 2 One Cafe Oatley – This coffee shop has an enclosed kids play area attached, with a trampoline, play equipment, swing set and ride along ponies. There’s fresh food, cold-pressed juices and something for everyone. 121 Mulga Rd, Oatley.
Rubyniks Kids Miranda – Located on level 1 of Westfield Miranda, near Lowes and Priceline, this cafe is a miniature of its sister café by the same name. It has an enclosed play area for the little ones, plus sits adjacent to a larger, multi-level play structure. Level 1, Westfield Miranda, Kingsway, Miranda.
Marvelicious Cronulla – This dessert bar and café has an all-day breakfast and brunch menu, a kid’s menu and some delicious and decadent desserts. It also has a small indoor, gated play area to keep the little ones busy. 22 Cronulla St, Cronulla.
Oli’s Cafe Miranda – Plenty of things to eat and drink while the kids play on in the cute little cubby house in the enclosed play area out back. 103 Miranda Rd, Miranda.
Baby Paraiso Hurstville – Cafe meets indoor play centre, this miniature indoor play centre is perfect for younger kids to enjoy. R213/7-11 The Ave, Hurstville.
The Peakhurst – A family-friendly bistro and bar featuring a “peek-a-boo” playroom with play equipment for the kids to enjoy. Parents can relax and enjoy a meal or drink while keeping an eye on their little ones. The Peakhurst also often hosts kid-friendly special events and holiday activities, such as arts and crafts workshops. 705 Forest Road, Peakhurst.
Leaf Café Miranda – Located on level 3 of Westfield Miranda, near Kmart, this cafe has everything from brekkie wraps to beef burgers and more. It sits opposite an enclosed soft-play area, so kick back and relax while the kids play. Level 3, Westfield Miranda, Kingsway, Miranda.
Bitton Oately – Bitton does breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, so you can pop in any time of day and enjoy delicious gourmet food in lovely surrounds. The restaurant has The Kids Terrace where you can enjoy your meal while the kids play nearby. 119a Mulga Rd, Oatley.
EAST
Coogee Pavilion – is a kid-friendly beachside oasis that offers something for everyone. With a dedicated play area complete with games and crafts, kids will be entertained while parents enjoy the relaxed and casual atmosphere. The menu offers a range of delicious options, including wood-fired pizzas, fresh seafood, and healthy salads. 169 Dolphin St, Coogee.
The Grounds of Alexandria – A fan-favourite, The Grounds is a unique cafe set in a large, rustic-industrial space. Kids will be delighted by the adorable resident farm animals. Enjoy artisan coffee and fresh baked goods with the kids and take delight in their themed installations that fill the laneways and gardens of the space. 7a/2 Huntley St, Alexandria.
That Place Cafe Mascot – This cafe offers a variety of dishes that kids will love, including pancakes, burgers, and nuggets. It’s located right next to a park with play equipment, allowing parents to keep a close eye on the kids while enjoying their meal. 1/12 Church Ave, Mascot.
BuKu Eatery Zetland – This cafe is in the perfect spot in Zetland, with an adjoining park perfect for kids of all ages. There are swings and climbing structures, plus a slide. They also have a delicious menu for the whole family. 1/130 Portman St, Zetland.
Bitton Alexandria – Bitton does breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, so you can pop in any time of day and enjoy delicious gourmet food in lovely surrounds. The restaurant has The Kids Terrace where you can enjoy your meal while the kids play nearby. 36/37A Copeland St, Alexandria.
Cosi Nero Botany – While you’re enjoying a bite to eat, the kids can play shop in the Baby Cosi cafe. 1379 Botany Rd, Botany.
Botany Buzz Botany – A great one for a wet weather day, there’s fun things for the kids to play with indoors and tables and chairs for them too. 1/32 Jasmine St, Botany.
INNER WEST
Koko Kawaii Craft Cafe – This Japanese inspired cafe is incredibly cute and offers an array of activities, including cookie painting and arts and crafts stations. They have an extensive menu and some incredible drinks. Check out our visit here. 49-53 Regent St, Chippendale.
Short & Sweet by Q St Peters – This cafe has a cute, indoor play area with books and toys. They do homemade food and cakes, plus you can order a birthday cake through them or have a private function catered. The cafe also hosts Music with Jules and her music classes for kids aged 0-5 on Mondays. 1 Barwon Park Rd, St Peters.
BonHomie Five Dock – A great place to take the kids on a beautiful day. There’s a swing set, slide and more. 108 Great N Rd, Five Dock.
Double Roasters Cafe Marrickville – Locals rave about the coffee, plus there’s a little cubby house and trampoline for the kids. 199 Victoria Rd, Marrickville.
WEST
Hello Moose – Enjoy a range of Instagram-worthy meals and drinks at this beautiful cafe. It includes an indoor, gated play area for young kids to play safely while you enjoy a bite to eat. Open Monday-Sunday for breakfast, brunch and lunch. 2/10 Norfolk St, Liverpool.
Frankie’s Food Factory Milperra, Terrey Hills and Glenhaven – This cafe is located within Flower Power in all three suburbs. Its Milperra location is pretty much an establishment of its own. It has an extensive menu, plus an enormous outdoor, undercover gated play area for kids of all ages. The Glenhaven location is right on the water, so kids can either play in the play area or have fun feeding the ducks. Various locations.
Durk’s Cafe + Eatery Casula – Located at the Crossroads Homemaker Centre, Casula, the cafe is conveniently situated right next to a kid’s play area, making it easy to keep an eye on the little ones while enjoying a delicious meal. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee and a snack, there’s something for everyone. 2/18 Parkers Farm Pl, Casula.
